Just to clear up any confusion as to what “Latest”, “Newest” & “Oldest” mean when sorting videos in the video store. This only partially applies to the Members area, I’ll explain later.
Latest = The most recent video posted. This is by date, so it will always be ordered from most recent to oldest, regardless of custom video number sequence.
Newest = This is sorted from highest custom video number to lowest.
Oldest = This is sorted from lowest custom video number to the highest.
The reason I added a ‘Latest’ option was because customs don’t always get ready to post in the the same order they’re received. So this way, you can always see what is the most recent video posted without having to worry about missing or overlooking one. Then, if you want to compare with your library, you can sort by number sequence (ascending or descending) to see if you’re missing any.
Now, with that said, I do understand that because of how I label the files, it’s not an easy task to go down the custom # list and compare. I’ve thought about adding custom numbers to the beginning of the filename but it’s one of those things that I would not have the time nor inclination to go back and rename every.single.custom filename. I also don’t want to change it up in the middle of things, so, I’m leaving it as-is.
Hope this clears it up a little.
