So we’re wrapping up this series with Mandie driving the old Bug in those black leather riding boots. Remember, she’s a bit nervous in this old car and so I have to kinda remind her how to drive it here and there because she didn’t want to take it initially since she hadn’t driven a stick in a while but I convinced her.
The drive is going well, I only had to remind her to downshift once so the car wouldn’t stall and the rest of the drive is her mocking the little car that you can turn by sticking your hand out the window.
We are finally to our last turn and as she pushes the clutch in the car dies. We’re now on the hill going up the driveway and she’s in a bit of a pickle as any stick-shift driver is familiar with — starting a stick on an incline can be tricky. She starts to roll the car back out into the road and after some attempts she gets it started and makes it up the driveway. When I’m figuring out where I want her to park it, she stalls the car again. When she rolls back a little, I get a little nervous because she’s very close to a crackheads car and I really don’t want her to hit it. After some more struggling, she does finally get the car parked.
