All that Diana wanted was get in her car, get it started and drive…but NNNOOOOOOOO, the Volvo had to be a little bitch! This 3-part series chronicles Diana’s struggles, triumphs and tragedies in the 1970 Volvo! Battling with the engine to get it started, successfully driving and working the gears, stalling at various places, getting rained on, wipers not working, doing TRUE heel-to-toe footwork and other things. But it’s okay, because if she ultimately failed at her travels, she’s wearing her ‘Immediate Rescue’ shirt….if ya know what I mean! 😉
Dirty Diana Crank & Drive The Volvo Hot Summer Day / Black Leather Boots/ Clip 1 Of 3
It’s a hot summer day it looks like it could rain any minute. Diana is going to drive her mothers car a white 1970 Volvo station wagon. Diana is wearing a purple shoulder strap top, black hot pant shorts, black leather boots. Diana hates the Volvo she hopes she can get it to start, she gets in she has a hard time getting it to start she has to do a lot of cranking and pumping of the Volvo’s gas pedal. The engine sputters a couple of times before she gets the engine to start, with all the pumping of the gas pedal that Diana has done her right foot must be a swamp by from all the pumping she’s done trying to get the Volvo to start, that’s all she has to do is keep the engine running that’s easier said then done.
Shish is getting a mixture of whole, upper and some really good closeups of Diana’s right foot pumping the gas pedal, when she does get the engine running she puts the gearshift in reverse to try to back the Volvo out of it’s parking spot, the engine stalls on her this happens at least two time she has to do quite a bit of cranking and pumping to get the engine started backup, when she does get the Volvo to backup the engine stalls on her the Volvo rolls forward. Diana has a little bit of trouble keeping the Volvo from rolling forward at first, she even has a little bit of trouble getting the gearshift into reverse.
Diana manages to get the gearshift in reverse she backs out of her parking space, Diana puts the gearshift into first gear she slowly goes down the dirt road and makes a right turn. Diana doesn’t drive the Volvo that often she has a little bit of trouble shifting into second gear she shifted into fourth gear by mistake. Diana quickly shifts in second and third gear she comes up to a stop sign and makes a left turn into a housing development. Diana realizes she has made a wrong turn, she turns into someones driveway so she can turn around and go back the way she came.
As the PTP copyright logo pops up on the screen Diana is about to back out of the driveway and go back the way that she came.
What will clip two bring us? Will the engine stall on Diana if so will she have to a lot of cranking and pumping of the Volvo’s gas pedal to get the engine to start backup? Or will it start pouring rain and make it difficult for Diana to drive the Volvo? Will the windshield wipers work?
