Mandie is having a good time in this big, empty parking lot doing some reversing. She gets going pretty fast at times and maneuvers through the little islands that are placed all around the lot. She slams hard on the brakes at one point and stalls the cars in the process. She came very very close to running up over a big curb at 20-30mph. She goes to start the engine again but it isn’t starting. It flooded when she slammed on the brakes and didn’t push in the clutch. She keeps trying to get it started using the choke and after a few minutes, it fires up again and she’s back at it! She ends up stalling the car another time or two and the first part ends with the car stalled…oops.

Hi All,
I’m really DELIGHTED with this series… It is BURSTING with SUSPENSE as you will see… Some unique “night spy” spot lit pedal footage has been included which really sets this apart from many other clips. The Volvo seems reluctant to start for Mandie at the beginning of the clip. The battery sounding very healthy though, because we can hear the starter motor turning quite quickly. Mandy pumps the gas pedal and then holds it to the floor as she manipulates the choke and cranks the starter for long spells. After about 30 seconds the Volvo’s engine roars to life… Mandy revs it up, maybe she wants to teach the car a lesson for being so stubborn? She shifts the car into reverse gear and concentrates on her steering as she manoeuvres the car backwards, working all 3 pedals carefully in her Vans shoes. On encountering a tree very close to her nearside as she leaves the driveway, she tells the car not to “freak her out” She pulls onto the road and drives smoothly forwards through all the gears. It’s EXCITING when Mandie stalls the car by pumping the brake pedal at s set of traffic lights just before the lights are about to turn green! She cranks the Volvo up again and drives on and takes a left turn into an empty car parking lot. Mandie then has some fun with some reverse driving practice in the Volvo. It’s FANTASTIC watching her trying to keep the car under control as she reverses and i LOVE the groaning sound of the engine when the car is running in reverse too! It sounds as though the Volvo is protesting because Mandy is playing games with it by reversing it at quite a high speed! Ha-ha… The camera angled view from the rear passenger seat is OUTSTANDING because we get to see the concentration on Mandie’s face as she looks over her shoulder as she reverses the car. Mandie looks incredibly pretty and there is a glint of mischief in her eyes! GEE I ADORE watching Mandie driving backwards and forwards in the abandoned car parking lot. It really feels as though we are actually with her in the car sitting on the back seat… This effect is INCREDIBLE and really brings the series to LIFE for me! Mandie pulls forwards again for a short distance and then we get to see her “inflict” some more high speed reverse driving on the Volvo again as the engine whines and groans!!! GEE this pretty lady sure likes to make this car work hard and we LOVE Mandie all the more for it too, huh? It’s GREAT to watch Mandie put a lot of effort into turning the Volvo’s huge cumbersome steering wheel too… The steering wheel is one of many features of classic Volvos which I ADORE!!! Mandy demonstrates some EXCELLENT co-ordination and spacial awareness in her driving, especiailly when she manages to avoid reversing over an island at quite a high speed – just in time as she drives through the shadows! I’m sure we can FORGIVE for JAMMING on the brakes (we can hear the tires slide on the road!) and her for stalling the car though… At least she didn’t do any damage to the car! I just CAN’T WAIT to see what happens in Part 2… The SUSPENSE is AWESOME!!! Thank you SO much ShisH, Scarlet & Mandie for this STUPENDOUS video series. I’m THRILLED!!!
Incidentally… It would appear that this video was filmed at Christmas time/ or just before/ after Christmas… I spotted the Christmas lights!

Hi Shish… I still can’t get over how FANTASTIC this series really is- I would be really grateful if you could convey my appreciation to Mandie… WOW!!! Also, please tell me that nobody suffers from bad whiplash in Part 2 and that the Volvo survives unscathed too? Thanks! :o)
Mandie Crank & Drive The Volvo / Checkered Black Pewter Vans / 720 P MP4 HD Part 1 Of 2
Mandie is going to practice driving the Volvo in reverse first she has to get the Volvo started she’s wearing a multi colored sweater, denim jeans, checkered black pewter vans. Mandie does something a little bit different when cold starting the Volvo she pulls the choke in and out, when she pumps the gas pedal its a mixture of holding the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and pumping the gas pedal.
It takes Mandie a little over 30 seconds to get the Volvo to start after starting the Volvo she gives the engine a few quick revs before she puts the gearshift in reverse to back out of the bushes and trees, as she was backing up she came close to hitting a tree, its dark outside. There’s a light under the dashboard you can see Mandie’s feet work the pedals as she’s trying to start and drive the Volvo.
Shish is sitting in the back seat in the beginning of the video its upper body and some footwell video, since its dark outside Shish has to shut off the light on the camera, this video was shot around Christmas time you can see Christmas lights as Mandie drives to where there going to shoot the video.
Mandie is sitting at a traffic light waiting to make a left turn she lets the engine idle, that was a mistake the engine stalls. Mandie pulls the choke in and out a couple of times she uses a mixture of holding the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and pumping the gas pedal, it takes her about 10 or 20 seconds to get the engine started. Mandie puts the gearshift in first and there on there way to the parking lot.
Now that there at the parking lot from what I can tell it looks like there in a shopping center parking. Shish turns on the light in the camera since Mandie is practicing driving the Volvo in reverse. Mandie has to look into the camera as she’s driving in reverse she steers around the islands in the parking lot she almost hit a couple of them.
As Mandie is steering you can hear the transmission on the Volvo make a whirling sound she must be going no more then 15 MPH, she stalls the engine at least two times, to get the Volvo to start back up she does a mixture of pulling the choke in and out and holding the gas pedal all the way to the floor and pumping it, she also grinds the starter two times trying to get it to start back up.
One time when she’s driving in reverse she runs right smack into either a curb or an island. I’m surprised she didn’t brake the rear axle or one of the struts. Mandie went into a circle at least two times, as part one is coming to an end. Mandie forgot to push the clutch in the engine stalls on her again.
Will Mandie get the Volvo to start back up? Will she drive the Volvo back to the house? We will have to wait and find out in part two.

This was one of the more scarier clips I’ve filmed. Here I am, filming facing forward while she’s speeding in reverse. I know there are these little islands in the parking lot, some hidden in the dark, and I’m just praying we don’t hit one. I know Mandie is having a hard time seeing past the bright light, through the foggy windows and out into the dimly lit parking lot. I don’t need to go to amusement parks to have a roller coaster ride feeling! lol
And you just told her your thoughts, she checks in from time to time. 🙂
