Part 2 of this series shows Reese making some progress. She is getting the Bug to sputter and she thinks the closer she gets, more she needs to pump until she realizes that holding it to the floor is when the magic starts. 🙂 She finally gets it running at the end of this clip and does some mild revving to clear out the severely flooded cylinders.
Reese Cranking The VW Super-Beetle / Brown Cowgirl Boots / Clip 2 Of 3
As we continue from clip one as the video begins the camera under the seat is getting video from the back of Reese’s brown cowgirl boots as shes cranking and pumping the bugs gas pedal trying to get the engine to start, the engine is beginning to sputter every now and then Reese is holding the gas pedal down all the way to the floor not for very long just a few seconds at a time just long enough for the engine to sputter a little bit, the camera switches from he one under the seat to the hand-held one Shish is using, the hand-held is getting whole body and some footwell shots.
A little later Shish closes the passenger door he walks too the front of the bug getting video of Reese cranking and pumping the bug through the windshield, then he gets some video of the exhaust you will she the throttle linkage go back and forth as Reese pumps the gas pedal, the engine is sputtering more often Reese is holding the gas pedal down a little longer each time, its only going to be a matter of a few minutes before Reese gets the bug to start.
Reese finally has the bug running the engine is sputtering with each pump of the gas pedal the rpms go up ever so slowly now Reese is beginning to rev the engine to clear out the excess gas in the carburetor.
As the PTP logo pops up on the screen after revving the engine for a couple of minutes just before the video ends Reese shuts the engine off . What will Reese do in clip three will she flood the carburetor?? Or will she restart the engine and rev it? Or will she try to drive the bug? The last time she tried to drive the bug it didn’t go well.
